By using undercover. you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. The provider of the app is named in the imprint below.
The service
undercover. recommends books.
- What we write: the short descriptions ("hooks"), tags, mood meters and content notes are our own.
- Where the rest comes from: book data and cover images come from Open Library and remain the property of their rights holders.
- No guarantees: we try hard to keep content notes, spice levels and availability (for example Kindle Unlimited) accurate, but we can't guarantee it. Please use "Report an issue" in the app if something is wrong.
Mature content
Some books deal with mature themes. Books we rate as explicit are hidden unless you confirm that you're 18 or older. Please don't confirm if you aren't.
Affiliate links
Some buttons open Amazon or Audible. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. This doesn't change the price you pay. Purchases happen entirely on Amazon under Amazon's terms. We don't sell books and aren't responsible for orders, deliveries or refunds.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the app. In particular, don't attempt to reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, and don't scrape our catalog or interfere with the service.
Our content
The app, its design, and the hooks, tags and descriptions we write are protected by copyright. You may share screenshots for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided free of charge and "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranties and aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages. We remain liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the effective date above shows the latest version. Austrian law applies, without its conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence still apply.
